Q: How much do your services cost?
A: We don't publish a price list because each pet is different.  Our prices are based on the type of appointment, your pet's breed, size, and coat condition.  Due to these variations, our prices vary.  We will gladly give you a price estimate either in person or by phone.  Please keep in mind that any prices given over the phone are only estimates until we actually meet your pet.
 

 Q: How long will it take?
A: We like to be flexible and have your pet stay as little or as long as you like.  We usually prefer that you drop off your pet in the morning, and allow us to call you when he or she is ready.  This is usually only a matter of a few hours depending on how busy we are.  If you have certain time constraints we are happy to work to have your pet ready by a specific time. As long as you pick up your pet before we close at 5:30 p.m. (4 p.m. on Saturdays) we don't mind if you can't pick him up right away.  Unlike other salons, we do NOT charge a "daycare" fee.

Q: Do you use heated dryers?

A:  We do not use heated dryers.  All dryers in our salon simply recirculate the air in the room which is kept at a comfortable temperature.  Although we are concerned with making your pet look nice, our primary concern is his or her safety!  If you have any concerns please let us know!

 


Q: What payment types do you accept?

A: We accept cash, check and debit cards.

 


Q: My dog gets very stressed during grooming, can I sedate him before bringing him?
A: We have found that many dogs who are nervous or stressed generally improve over time. We have also found that some pets feel more vulnerable when they are sedated, and as a result, are more difficult to groom.  If you have concerns about your pet's stress level, we are happy to talk with you and determine the best scenario for making grooming as pleasant as possible.
 
 

Q: Do you need vaccination records?
A:  For all clients 1 year of age or less must provide proof of bordatella (kennel cough) vaccine.

 


Q: Other groomers have told me that my dog tries to bite while being groomed. Will you groom him?
A:  Absolutely.  With over 100 years of combined experience with our award winning stylist team, we have worked with many types of pets over the years.  We will work with your pet  However, it is important for you to tell us this in advance so that we are prepared. It is not uncommon for dogs to bite or snap during grooming. Many dogs will nip and use their teeth in "protest" but are not truly biters.  We have a lot of training and experience with handling dogs, and we like to try different things to make sure your dog is comfortable during grooming.  This includes working with your dog to figure out the best techniques (different things work with different dogs) for keeping him calm.  We have muzzles to keep the dog from biting and from injuring himself, and they are used as a last resort.  The muzzles we use are completly safe for your dog, and are only used for short periods of time.  Most dogs that require muzzles usually only do so for specific things like nail trimming or brushing out tangles.  Again, we rarely use muzzles, but we will use them if it is necessary to ensure the safety of the dog as well as our own!  

 


Q: Do I need an appointment?
A: We prefer that you make an appointment. If you call first thing in the morning we are sometimes able to fit you in for that same day.
